In una cornice quanto mai atipica ed asettica, l'Hollywood Foreign Press Association ha annunciato i suoi vincitori; senza clamore, senza glamour, senza gossip e soprattutto senza red carpet. Il tutto si è infatti svolto all'interno di una sbrigativa conferenza stampa a causa dello sciopero del sindacato degli screenwriters, in atto da più di due mesi, che sta continuando a mietere vittime illustri. Per non parlare del fatto che anche gli Oscar sono a rischio...In ogni caso, qualche rapido commento.
Le sorprese: sicuramente l'affermazione di Espiazione come miglior film drammatico e la vittoria di Schnabel in qualità di miglior regista.
Le conferme: beh, quasi tutte, e devo dire con merito, a cominciare dalla strepitosa Cotillard ne La vie en rose e dalla camaleontica Blanchett in I'm not there.
La gioia: il premio a Dario Marianelli, compositore di casa nostra, per le musiche di Espiazione.
La delusione: incredibile a dirsi, nessuna.
